Firstly, remember, you are Extraordinary!
Just think about everything you do, everything you juggle and everything you achieve!
But is that achievement coming at a price? Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed and possibly even burnt out?
Maybe you’re juggling work, childcare, running a home, caring for elderly parents and supporting friends. Do all these demands mean that any personal time to get space, or take steps for self-care is at the bottom of your priority list? Do you know that you need to do something different, but you’re struggling to achieve it?
And if that wasn’t enough, add the impact of hormones into the mix, be it due to the monthly cycle, during and after pregnancy and of course during the peri menopause and menopause years.

If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. The McKinsey ‘Women in the Workplace’ report 2021, highlights a trend of burnout for women. The report states:
“Women are even more burned out than they were a year ago, and burnout is escalating much faster among women than men. One in three women says they have considered downshifting their careers or leaving the workforce this year, compared to 1 in 4 who said this a few months into the pandemic.”
Although the report is US focused, a Mental Health UK survey on burnout undertaken in September 2020 provides similar results. Here, 23% of UK women workers said they were currently unable to manage the levels of pressure and stress they were experiencing and 59% of working women said that they felt more prone to extreme levels of stress compared to the previous year.
So if you’re feeling exhausted, frazzled, overwhelmed, you’re not alone. Maybe now is the time to change something?
Whether you need to get better at saying ‘no’ to some of the demands placed on you, whether it’s prioritising personal space so you can replenish and get some down time, or even achieve a change of working hours or career then you’re in the right place.
